Promine AutoCAD Tip of the Week: XCLIP Command

In this week’s tip, we are going to show The XCLIP Command. This command allows to crop the display of a selected external reference or block reference to a specified boundary.

 Video Tutorial

Step By Step

1.Type in XCLIP, select the object(s) and press Enter

2.Select “New boundary” to generate a new boundary view

3.Select the boundary shape. Ex: Rectangular

4.Draw the boundary around the object(s)

5.Select the boundary and adjust its size according to the desired view

6.Use the small arrow, found at the bottom side of the boundary, to reverse the view

7.To delete the boundary view: type in XCLIP, select the objects, press Enter and select the option “OFF”
