Promine AutoCAD Tip of the Week: SECSLICE Command

Posted by Paola Reyes on Mar 26, 2019 9:32:24 AM

In this week’s tip, we will see one of our new features in Promine, called Section Slice. This command is found in the Promine Tools module. It allows the user to display sections according to a thickness or an elevation range at a chosen elevation. This command only works with meshes and 3D solids; thus, it does not support polygon meshes.

Video Tutorial

Step By Step

1.Click on the command section slice (Shortcut: SECSLICE)

2.Set the elevation from where to start the first section and set the thickness or height for each section

3.If the option “Show section plane” is checked, Promine will insert a rectangle that will mark the plane at the chosen elevation (for visualization purposes only)

4.Click on next or type in N to display the next section

5.Turn the drawing, zoom in or out to view details of the drawing
