Promine AutoCAD Tip of the Week: PLATDB Command

This week’s Promine’s AutoCAD tip of the week covers a useful trick to construct a take down back (TDB) in areas for truck dumping. This can be done using the PLATDB command.

Step By Step

1.Type in PLATDB or select the command from the Drift Design module found in the Engineering category.

2.Select the polyline contour of the TDB

3.Select the drift on which the TDB will be constructed

4.Enter the height of the TDB then a wall chamfer

5.Choose one of the following options: Enter a back chamfer as a distance, in radians or degrees.

The program will then create the TDB with the specified configuration.
