Posted by Eva Dierkes on Dec 17, 2018 9:01:49 AM

This tutorial explains how to use the AutoCAD tab management commands to quickly change between active drawings and remove the drawing selector when it is not needed.

Video Tutorial

Step By Step:

1.Hiding drawing selector:

a.Select the AutoCAD workspace then type “FILETABCLOSE” and press ‘Enter’ to remove the drawing selector and expand the representation of the workspace over the space previously occupied by the selector menu.

b.Select the AutoCAD workspace then type “FILETAB” and press ‘Enter’ to reinsert the drawing selector above the workspace. This will shrink the workspace to make it fit.

2.Changing between drawings:

a.Concurrently tap the ‘Tab’ and ‘Ctrl’ keys to move the current selection to the next drawing. Repeating this cycles through all drawings.
