For reserves estimation, the geologist needs some basic information:

• Information about diamond drill holes, usually found in a database
• Economic parameters
• 3D volume parameters

The geologist will use the following modules:

• Filer
• Section Cutting
• Diamond Drill Hole
• Reserve Module
  • 2D Reserves
  • or
  • 3D Vein Model
  • or
  • 3D Block Model

The Filer is almost always used to insert layers. In this case, the user will load all of the layers needed to generate holes, annotate them and carry out the reserve estimation.
The holes are generated from the database as 3D polylines using the DDH module.
The holes are then annotated. Every parameter, grade colour, lithology, hatch, colour and hole number can be configured by the user.	Click on the image for larger view.
The pierce points and composites are generated zone-by-zone in all of the sections.	Click on the image for larger view.
When all of the pierce points have been generated, a longitudinal view is created using the Section 3D module.	Click on the image for larger view.
Polygons method: Polygons and annotations are generated with the 2D Reserves module.	Click on the image for larger view.
