To lay out a new drift or ramp, the engineer needs some basic information:
Starting coordinates
End coordinates
Dimensions
The engineer will use the following modules:
Filer
Drift Planning
Grids
The Filer is almost always used to insert layers. In this case, the user will load all of the layers needed to build the drift: survey layers, planning layers and geology layers.
In this case, the planner loads the center lines of two levels using the Filer:
220 in green and
245 in blue.
The planner adds the starting and ending segments of the new ramp using the Drift Planning functions.
A new ramp is created using the advanced Drift Planning functions.
The 2D center line is converted to 3D.
2D information is now drawn for the paper layout.
Grades and elevations are added.
A layout is created using the Grids module for the final presentation.
